Skills Assessment Services

Independent, external skill assessments are a useful auditing tool for companies to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Act requirements for staff to be ‘currently’ competent.

Omaka provides this service for all electricity industry competencies at your site or ours, on the job, and informal.

Unit Standards Skills Recognition

Also available is assessment of skills against the National Qualifications Framework Unit Standards via the Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) process. This is a quick, effective way of gaining the appropriate Units while acknowledging the existing skill levels of your staff.

This process is more formal, and again can be undertaken at your place or ours.

Competency Management Services

Omaka acknowledges the difficulties that employers have in keeping an accurate track of the skills maintenance training pathways and compliance upkeep of their staff.

We therefore offer a service that will manage all these things, individual by individual, on your behalf. A purpose-built database is utilised that monitors all training and updating requirements, and flags the necessary actions. These are then advised usually two months prior to the needed action.

Partnership Agreement: More than the CMS, this is a full partnership agreement in which we work with you, on a preferred provider basis, to deliver all your training and assessment services, as well as provide the Competency Management Service. The agreement includes the provision of considerable discounts for a prescribed annual training hour commitment from you.

It is the complete service, solving all present and into the future skill requirements.
